This photo shows the track as it was in January 2002. This was the middle of summer, and the clubhouse then was just a slab. The photo gives you an overall idea of the layout of the track. Extensive work has been done since then including; clubhouse, watering system, pits, car park, start chutes, other fencing and cleanup.
The track is approximately 1.7km long, and is about 8-10m wide for most of the track. The starting grid features 40 self-penalising gates; mechanically dropped, and the start pad is earth. Obstacles include tabletops, step up, step down, whoops, ski jumps, triple-up, berms and off camber corners. The width and layout of the track allows for many passing opportunities and is generally considered to be relatively fast and flowing.
